A Fiesta of Golf: Cinco de Mayo Tournament Supports Adaptive Sports in Southern Arizona

Each spring, Tucson’s golf community comes together in celebration and support of adaptive athletes at the UA Adaptive Athletics Cinco de Mayo Golf Tournament – a vibrant fundraiser benefiting both Southern Arizona Adaptive Sports (SAAS) and the University of Arizona Adaptive Athletics program.
Presented by Jim Click: Golf with a Purpose
AGM and Team Access were proud to be a part of this signature community event! Billed as a “fiesta of golf,” this annual golf tournament—held at the Tucson Country Club—combines a round of morning golf with an afternoon of fundraising activities, including a silent auction and a live auction. Presented by Jim Click, the event is one of the most impactful fundraisers in the region for adaptive sports. All proceeds are split 50/50 between SAAS and UA Adaptive Athletics, helping each organization expand their missions.
Why It Matters
SAAS offers adaptive sports and recreation—from cycling and basketball to golf and archery—for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona.
UArizona Adaptive Athletics is one of the largest and most successful collegiate adaptive programs in the country, supporting student-athletes in wheelchair basketball, tennis, track, golf, and more.
Together, these two organizations are creating life-changing opportunities on and off the field, and this tournament plays a central role in making that possible. Team Access is always excited to see community programing that brings people together who care about impacting the lives of others through sport and inclusion and we can’t wait for next year!
